Verizon Wireless and Motorola are teaming up again to release what seems to be my new favourite thing!

Motorola R2D2 is the new version of the famous Moto Droid II, customized with a theme from the legendary Star Wars series.

The phone comes with pre-installed home screens, wallpapers, soundboards, apps and widgets with a star wars theme. It has the same specifications of a Droid II, featuring a TI OMAP 1 GHz processor, Android 2.2 Froyo, 8 GB internal memory, 8 GB microSD card, aGPS, qwerty keyboard, 5 MP Camera and DVD quality video recording.

Motorola Droid R2D2 will be released on September 30th 2010, I’m hoping to get one of those as soon as it’s released!
